Trump Slams ‘Disgraceful’ Dem Rep’s Profane Impeachment Call: ‘Dishonored’ Herself and Her Family

Newly-elected Rep. Rashida Tlaib (D-Mich.) is finding herself in the hot seat after calling the president a “motherf**ker” as President Donald Trump caught wind of the freshman congresswoman’s “disgraceful” remark.

“We’re going to go in and impeach the motherf**ker,” Tlaib’s shouted to a crowd of supporters on the evening of her swearing-in ceremony, clearly showing her distaste for President Trump.

Tlaib is one of the two first Muslim American women elected to Congress.

At a press conference on Friday, the president was asked by a reporter about the congresswoman’s remark, in which he responded, “Well, I thought her comments were disgraceful.”

He went on to say he thinks she “dishonored” herself and her family for using the vulgar language “in front of her son and whoever else was there.”

“I thought that was a great dishonor to her and to her family,” President Trump reiterated. “I thought it was highly disrespectful to the United States of America.”

President Trump had previously addressed Tlaib’s remark without directly mentioning her by name:

Tlaib defended her comment saying she will “always speak truth to power.”

As IJR Red reported, several Democrats labeled Tlaib’s comment to “impeach that motherf**ker” as “inappropriate,” while some Republicans also said the freshman congresswoman’s comment is going to be a “real test” in how Pelosi handles the situation, saying, “How was she going to stand up to the most radical-left elements of her party when they become unhinged? And it didn’t take long.”

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) excused Tlaib’s remark as she said that she doesn’t like or use that type of language but doesn’t “think it’s anything worse than the president has said,” adding that impeachment is a “very divisive approach … without the facts,” NBC News reported.
