Trump Withdraws Boeing Air Force One Purchase! HIS REASON IS OUTSTANDING!

On Tuesday, Donald Trump stated that the costs for the Air Force One – one of the trademarks of America- are rocking high. For this reason he insisted that the government cancels the concluded contract with Boeing Co for the jet.

Trump is expected to take Office on Jan. 20. Even during the election cycle he pointed out that Obama spent plenty of dollars on the aircraft just to support Hillary Clinton.

Although his voice was not heard much at the time of the complaint, Trump’s team plans to reduce those expenses and save taxpayers’ money on a larger scale.

“Boeing is building a brand new 747 Air Force One for future presidents, but costs are out of control, more than $4 billion. Cancel order!” Trump said in a morning Twitter message.

The source of the information was not revealed. The Air Force One budget costs for replacement program amount to  $2.87 billion for the fiscal years 2015 through 2021.

This is officially extracted out of the budget documents.

After his Tweet, Trump visited NYC and the Trump Tower for an event and discussed the statement.

“The plane is totally out of control. I think it’s ridiculous. I think Boeing is doing a little bit of a number. We want Boeing to make a lot of money but not that much money,” he said.

One Boeing spokesman stated that the company had no comments at this time.

However, due to Trump’s words, the Boeing shares decreased by 0.7 percent in morning trading. Also, other bigger defense contractors shares were noticeably lower.

Donald Trump has been using his personal Boeing 757 during his campaign instead of spending national money.

In January, 2015, it was announced that the Boeing’s 747-8 is going to be a replacement for the two existing presidential planes.

The Boeing contract with the Air Force is an estimated  $25.8 million, as of January of this year. The contract was created so the White House’s needs regarding the plane would be conducted. Some personal touches were added for extra safety, such as plane communication options even during a nuclear war.

The Trump office staffers stated that the President- Elect plans on keeping low costs at all times when these planes were concerned.

Staffers at the Boeing company were unprepared for what Trump stated. They are only establishing and carrying out the Air Force demands in agreement with the White House, according to defense consultant Loren Thompson.

“Air Force One has unique mission requirements, including possibly having to operate in a nuclear war,” Thompson said. “Of course it’s not like buying a vanilla Boeing jumbo jet.”

In 1943, the U.S. presidents had for the first time ever, used Boeing planes.

The 747-8 planes, 240 feet long (73 meters) long with a wing span of 224 feet (68 meters), can fly direct from Washington to Hong Kong, 1,000 miles (1,600 km) farther than the current Air Force One.

Donald Trump was also quoted in a September 2015 for Rolling Stone, as he discussed the perks of the Boeing plane.

“I bought this from Paul Allen and gutted it top to bottom. It’s bigger than Air Force One, which is a step down from this in every way. Rolls-Royce engines; seats 43. Did you know it was featured on the Discovery Channel as the world’s most luxurious jetliner?” he said.
