Even though the liberals are opposing President Trump’s proposal of building a border wall, apparently that proposal will soon become reality, with Mexico starting the project in the San Diego community of Otay Mesa.
At this moment there, no funding for the big infrastructure project is set, but almost 450 companies have sent their proposals for the project, and the agency’s bid is saying that nearly 20 companies will be chosen to build the best-presented models that will be 30 feet long and 30 feet high.
Ralph DeSio, the Border Patrol spokesman, hasn’t said where the construction will happen, but he said that will be somewhere in Otay Mesa. This will be an opportunity for the companies to test their designs in densely-trafficked.
The construction of the border prototypes will happen this June, and it is expected that protest may occur trying to ruin the whole thing, but sadly for them, police officials said they are ready to support the 1st Amendment rights.
“As part of our community policing philosophy, we work closely with any party or group that wishes to express their views in a law-abiding manner,” said Lt. Scott, Wahl, a San Diego police spokesman.
