The United States Border Patrol association never endorsed a presidential candidate BEFORE Donald Trump. Now, they have a new announcement about our new president.
“We now have a president that we can trust,” National Border Patrol Council President Brandon Judd said during an interview with Bill O’Reilly. “I want you to understand that there’s a buzz that we’ve never seen before in the Border Patrol,”.
For eight years, Border Patrol agents have been forced to work with at least one hand tied behind their backs. Enforcing existing federal law was not a priority during the Barack Obama administration — it was barely even on the president’s radar.
Judd also said he and his excited agents feel Donald Trump “has the political will” necessary to finally secure the border. Mainstream media pundits predicted building the wall would not be a priority for Trump once he actually got into the White House, but I know they’re wrong.
President-elect Trump has vowed to make border security a priority today, mere hours after he takes the oath of office. In less than two hours, we can finally drop the “elect” from Trump’s title and enjoy watching him rolling up his sleeves and getting to work.
“We expect to see an awful lot of policies that have undermined border security change in the near future,” the Border Patrol association leader added. Once a Trump administration gets to work, the brave men and women who patrol our borders will no longer fear getting fired or arrested for doing their jobs as the law dictates.
The National Border Patrol Association represents more than 16,000 agents. Judd also said he would like President Trump to overturn President Obama’s illegal immigration policies. Like all patriots, Judd wants to put the safety of Americans first and see the law applied equally to everyone.
“We want to dictate where they cross,” Judd said. “And with border walls, we’re able to dictate where they cross, and it allows us to be as successful as possible.”
The Border Patrol association president said he wants Trump to “do something about President Obama’s catch and release program.” Judd added he feels the Obama policies essentially “reward” illegal immigrants by not enforcing the law and all legal penalties imposed upon them for breaking it.
“Under this administration, I believe that we will secure the border,” the Border Patrol association president said. We the People do too, Mr. Judd. God speed to you and all of your agents – stay safe!
