Liberals are concerned that all of the “achievements” of the Obama administration are going to be rolled back by the “unstable” Donald Trump — but not John Kerry.
While at the World Economic Forum, Kerry said that none of Trump’s policies will stick because our allies won’t go along with them. “We will have done great injury to ourselves,” Kerry said. “And it will hurt for the endurance of a year, two years, whatever, while the [Trump] administration is there.”
Kerry used a number of examples to add specifics to his narrative. His quasi-expertise in world affairs was definitely on full display.
“Take Iran, for instance,” Kerry began. “If the United States were to decide suddenly and say, ‘Hey we’re not going to pursue this’ and so forth, I’ll bet you – I haven’t talked to all of them – but I’ll bet you our friends and allies that negotiated this with us will get together, and that Russia, China, Germany, France, and Britain will say, ‘You know what, this is a good deal we’re going to keep it.’”
Perhaps Kerry thinks that Trump is going to bite off more than he can chew and get himself in trouble.
The problem remains that no one in the opposing party is taking Donald Trump seriously. For whatever reason, Kerry thinks that Donald Trump is just going to be the next incarnation of Zachary Taylor or Warren G. Harding.
Well, I have news for him. No matter how much the liberals try to change history or control the dialogue, there is no denying the fact that Donald Trump is a man who knows how to get things done. He has not earned billions of dollars by doing nothing. Moreover, his achievement of keeping Carrier jobs in this country and others since then were definitely a sign of good things to come.
As well, Kerry’s idea that Trump is only going to last a few years in the White House is odd — he knows the term is four years, right? And thinking Trump will have less than eight, at least right now, is fairly silly. He’s already accomplished so much.
Kerry almost WANTS Trump to fail just so he can say, “See? I told you so? I told you he would be incompetent!” This is, of course, the same attitude that plenty of other liberals have.
No matter how much I may dislike the pilot of my airplane, the last thing I would want is for him to fail. The same goes for Trump — if he fails, then the country fails.
Even if I totally hated Donald Trump (which I don’t), I would still be cheering him on. I guess liberals are just deeply selfish and unpatriotic.
