American veterans have had enough of Sen. Elizabeth Warren, who is known for her unsubstantiated claims of being Native American and for having all the wrong priorities.
Members of the group Veterans Assisting Veterans went onto Fox and Friends on Monday to talk about their opposition to the polices on immigration that Warren and other lawmakers are pushing. They want veterans to be more important than illegal immigrants.
This group is based in Massachusetts, the same state from which Warren hails.
“There’s hundreds of veterans dying every day…Why don’t we address those problems first, and then we’ll worry about other people coming into our country,” stated the president of the organization, Dennis Moschella.
Our veterans have given everything to serve their country; they took an oath to protect and serve, and many lost a great deal when they were sent home, the government no longer having any use for them. Some have traumatic brain disorders, others are missing limbs, and some have returned because their bodies cannot take any more stress.
But do the Democrats show them any compassion? Do the liberals in our government show any type of gratitude beyond a simple, “Thank you for your service?” Many veterans cannot afford to go anywhere but to the VA for healthcare, an often lackluster hospital with mediocre care.
The problem isn’t always the people who work there — in fact, many are well-meaning nurses and doctors. The problem is the policies put in place by Barack Obama and the lack of supplies and funds for these veterans. Those who have served should not be abandoned so we can support someone who broke the law to be in this country.
“Elizabeth Warren and people like her seem to have a very hard time understanding the difference between legal and illegal…It seems to be the fact that she’s more interested in creating political theater than she is in helping Americans,” stated the group’s spokesman, John MacDonald.
This doesn’t mean that the American people and our military service members are against immigration. Many service members are immigrants who have received their citizenship through their military service. They are brothers and sisters in arms, and they are a huge part of the military.
It is shameful when half of the politicians in this country continue to make the plight of criminals more important than that of the men and women who have proudly served this country.
