Border Patrol Agent Murdered, Partner Hurt After Attack On Patrol

Van Horn, TX – One U.S. Border Patrol agent was killed and a second U.S. Border Patrol agent is in serious condition after being attacked while on patrol.

Border Patrol Agent Rogelio Martinez was found unconscious with injuries to his head and body on Sunday morning, November 19, according to Breitbart. His seriously injured partner was found nearby.

Agent Martinez and his Big Bend Sector partner, who was not named, were on patrol on I-10 near the Van Horn Station area.

Both agents had responded to a report of “activity”, and details have not been released on the source of the activity, whether it was an activated sensor or something else.

One of the Border Patrol Agents radioed dispatch that he needed help, and that he was injured.

Other Border Patrol Agents responded and found Agent Martinez unconscious, with injuries to his head and body. He was transported to a hospital where he was pronounced dead.

They also found the injured Border Patrol Agent, who had radioed for help. He was transported to a hospital where he is being treated, and remains in serious condition.

Border Patrol agents and Culberson County Sheriff’s Office deputies secured the area, while the Border Patrol’s Special Operations Group and agents from the Air and Marine Operations division are searching the area for potential suspects or witnesses.

The Culberson County Sheriff’s Department, FBI, Office of Inspector General, and CBP’s Office of Professional Responsibility are conducting the investigation.

Border Patrol Agent Brandon Judd, who is the President of the National Border Patrol Council told Breitbart Texas that this is why the border must be secured.

He also sent the council’s deepest condolences to the family of Agent Martinez, and to the family of the injured agent, according to ElPasoProud.

“When all facts come to light on this matter, I believe the public will be outraged as there are those who do not value life who come across our border. Our borders must be secured and criminals must be held accountable.”

No further details have been released.

IN MY OPINION: I THINK YOU SHOULD WAIT FOR MORE INFORMATION AS TO WHY AND HOW THE AGENT WAS KILLED BEFORE YOU MAKE YOUR JUDGEMENT. —I LIVE ON THE BORDER AND I SAW ONE ONE IN WHICH ONE BORDER PATROL AGENT WAS KILLED UNDER SUSPICIOUS CIRCUMSTANCES. —THE FIRST IMPRESSION PEOPLE GOT IMMEDIATELY WAS THAT THE AGENT WAS MOST LIKELY KILLED BY ILLEGAL ALIENS. —THE CASE WAS INVESTIGATED THOROUGHLY-AND THE PERSON OF INTEREST TURNED OUT TO BE THE DEAD AGENT’S PARTNER-BUT THAT PERSON OF INTEREST-WAS NEVER ARRESTED.—THERE WERE NO EVIDENCE THAT ILLEGAL ALIENS HAD ANYTHING TO DO WITH IT. —THE CASE TURNED COLD.—SEMPER FI!
